Bible Quote s and other Practical Inspirations from the The Bible

Why Climb A Mountain?

Yes, a Zen Riddle in a Bible quote section. And the answer will be revealed in this page so read on....

Here's a fact for you:

Any man, woman, 12 years old kid can simply flip through the Bible and find quotes or verse for wisdom, strength, encouragement, motivations, inspirations to deal with almost every situations in life.

It's True! I will Prove It To You!

And I am not only talking about people who work in the religious segment like pastors, priest or nun...etc. Hey! That will be too obvious, isn't it?

I always believe that the real challenge for any religion, faith and philosophy had to be the practicability for applying their principle in improving the well being of our everyday life.

Meaning: To use it to improve our wealth, health, and school works, relationship, business...etc.

But if you are like me, you will be thinking:

"How can a book written more than 2000 years ago be practical at all to our present times?"

You don't realize it, but in the next few minutes you're going to learn.

Stop! Before I go on, I need to tell you this: "It is not my intention to get into any theological arguments of religions, politics, or any complicated issues here. This article is here simply as a good will to share a source of inspirations for anyone who wishes to look into at their own free will."

The only condition for anyone to enjoy this piece of work and reaps the awesome benefits, is if you can once again leave your "skeptical persona" aside and instead let your"Heart"boss around for a while.
Here is an example of one Bible quote that contains a practical wisdom that is taught by a lot of the famous motivational speakers, success gurus...etc of our time:

Matthew (Chapter 7, Verse 7)
Ask, and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Ask, and it will be given to you...

This in fact, is one of the most important steps for any one who want to achieve anything. There is an old proverb that says: He who cannot ask cannot live. It is only by asking the right questions that determines what we get.

One of the most powerful psychological theories in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming(Better known as NLP)is the questioning models known as the 'Milton Model'. It is an empowering model that built around Milton Erickson's questioning skills, where he will help a person to draw away from the detailed distractions of his problem and explore the deep rooted cause.

The most magical wonders about the 'Milton Model'is the question 'Why?' This is the question that gets to the heart of our purpose. In lessons 11 of [Personal Power II], a powerful audio lessons on peak performance from Anthony Robbins, teach about the importance of a big enough 'Why' to succeed in life for it will give us enough compelling reasons and drive us to do whatever it takes to achieve our goals and ambitions.

So sure enough, as the Bible says:" Ask, and it will be given to you..." But the Bible did not stop there.

"...seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Asking the right question will determine your outcome, however it has to be followed by your decision to take massive action. This verse had more or less coincided (again) with Anthony Robbins's lessons from Personal Power II where he teaches The Ultimate Success Formula which consist of the following 4 step:

  • Step I : Know your Outcome.
  • Step II : Get yourself to take action by deciding to do so.
  • Step III: Notice what you're getting from your actions.
  • Step IV : If what you're doing is not working, change your approach.

You already know your outcome by asking the right question, but you need to start seeking what you desire by getting yourself to take action. And if you notice what you're doing is not working, you need to change your approach, knocking on the doors of every learning opportunities with perseverance and you will be able get the outcome you want (A Opened Door).

If you're like me, you'll probably want another example.

But the truth is, the Bible is not only sort after by Christians but also by a lot of non believers as well. Here's one good reason why?

"A Parable about "Why climbs a mountain? "

In the 4th sequel of the movie [Star Trek] when Spock asked Captain Kirk:"Why would any man want to climb a mountain?"

Captain Kirk's answer was simple enough: "Because it was there."

In a same manner, when asked why any non-believer should sort the bible for inspirations, my Buddhist friend Joseph said to me:"..... Because it was there."

So why not empower yourself from the very word of the Almighty Himself Now
